I hereby give my consent to Social Chain, on behalf of Swiss International Air Lines, to save my personal data in accordance with below article 15.1, for the purpose of contacting me if I win.

Article 15.1: Personal Data Processing

When you participate in the competition as part of this of this campaign, you provide Social Chain with consent to store your personal data on behalf of Swiss International Air Lines, including your name and e-mail address. These personal details are stored by us, Social Chain, in our capacity as a personal data controller. We will store the above-mentioned information in order to announce winners of the competition within this campaign. Your consent will be valid until 15 October 2018. We will only store your personal data for the duration that you have given us consent to do so in accordance to this agreement. You retain the right to recall your consent at any time. If you exercise this right, we will no longer store your data. However, please note that a withdrawal of your consent does not affect the legacy of the storage before it was recalled. You may contact us at any time for information regarding your personal data that is stored or to request a correction, transfer, deletion or limitation of your personal data (add email address). TERMS & CONDITIONS

Article 1: General information

The Competition ‘OnSwissTime’ (hereafter referred to as ‘the Competition’) is hosted by Swiss International Air Lines Ltd. (hereafter referred to as ‘SWISS’). Participation is voluntary and free of charge. Participation is not dependent on the purchase of goods or services.

Participation in the SWISS Draw is free and does not depend on the purchase of or claim on non-gratuitous services. The participant does not enter into any contractual or other legal relationship with Swiss International Air Lines Ltd. or third parties. By entering the competition, the entrant expresses agreement with the rules of the game.

Article 2: Duration, aim, and location of the competition

The Competition is organised for the purpose of promoting the services, destinations, and heritage of SWISS.

The Competition is hosted in the UK and open to UK residents during the period from 14 September until 23 September 2018

Winners in the Competition will only be able to travel from airports in the UK to Zurich on the SWISS operated flights. SWISS will not compensate winners for transfer costs to or from the airports.

Article 3: Promotional area

Promotional online materials will be available on the official competition website: https://www.onswisstime.co.uk

Article 4: Prize fund

The total prize fund consists of 2 business class flight tickets, given according to the ranking scheme prescribed in Article 7:

Prize

  • Two (2) return flight ticket vouchers in SWISS Business Class for a value of GBP 500 on a SWISS operated flight to Zurich, Switzerland, from London Heathrow, London City, Manchester or Birmingham.
  • The total number of winners of this prize is 1.
  • The prize does not include any transfer services from/to airports, hotel, and any other accommodation, unforeseen costs, etc. except for what is included in the above.
  • No material or cash alternative prizes can be issued. The winner is responsible to absorb any ticket costs that exceed GBP500.

Article 5: Eligibility

To be eligible to win, you need to be a UK resident. You can enter the contest once. Participants must be 18 years or older to be eligible to win.

The employees of SWISS and members of their immediate families (parents, spouses, children, siblings) are exempt from entering and do not have the right to participate in the competition.

SWISS reserves the right to disqualify individual participants from the prize draw if there are justifiable grounds, e.g. infringement of the rules of participation, influencing the draw, manipulation, etc.

Article 6: How to participate in the Competition

Go to https://www.onswisstime.co.uk, vote for your favourite images & submit your email.

Any descriptions consisting of immoral, unethical, racist, pornographic, discriminatory or criminal content will lead to automatic exclusion/disqualification.

Your entry is only valid if SWISS receives it. Incomplete and invalid entries cannot be processed. SWISS is not liable for un-forwarded entries.

In case of circumstances out of the SWISS’s control, the dates for the promotion might have to be extended (e.g., if the competition entry page is unavailable for 24 hours or more).

Article 7: Selection of winners

The winners will be selected by a panel of judges organized by SWISS. The judges will review all eligible entries, and then select a winner at random from all received votes.

The winners will be chosen latest two weeks after the closing of the Competition on 23 September. The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

SWISS reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who has engaged in unlawful or improper conduct that is designed to jeopardise the fair conduct of the promotion or is generally damaging to the reputation of SWISS or has otherwise breached these conditions of entry (as determined in the SWISS’ sole discretion).

SWISS can cancel or modify the promotion if there are compelling technical or administrative reasons out of control of the Sponsor. In such a situation, SWISS will select the winner from all eligible entries received at that time.

Winners will be announced no later than 7 October via email.

Winners are not able to exchange their prize for cash or any other products and services. The prize is not transferable.

The winners will be responsible to absorb any excess of the ticket value of GBP 500, insurance, and any other expenses, fees and costs connected with the prize that are not included in the prize description.

The winners are responsible for holding a valid passport and/or other necessary travel documentation and visas.

Please note that the nature of the prize may be such that it poses health or safety risks, or risks normally associated with travel. For this reason, the winners should consider any health, safety and travel risks and take appropriate precautions (including arranging insurances) to guard against those risks.

Article 8: How to claim the prize

Winners will receive a separate e-mail informing them they have won.

If the winner does not confirm receipt of this e-mail within one week, the prize will be given to another participant with the next closest jury ranking.

The prize will be handed out no later than 12 October 2018 via e-mail. The winners will be able to book their tickets from the date they receive the prize up until 12 months afterwards. Travel must be completed within one year of receiving the prize. Flight reservation will be subject to availability. Therefore, a reservation on the requested dates cannot be guaranteed. The winner will receive detailed information about how to claim the prize via e-mail within fourteen (14) days after being selected as a winner. The ticket(s) will be issued as an electronic ticket(s).

Article 9: Participants of the competition

Participants who take part in the Competition may not request a different prize other than that listed in these Terms and Conditions by the organiser. By participating in this Competition, participants accept these Terms and Conditions.

Article 10: Errors and irregular registrations

Incorrect or incomplete registrations are invalid and not entitled to receive any awards. Only adult participants (over 18 years of age) are eligible to win a prize. Incorrect registrations are ones whose name, surname and other data entered in the contact form on the microsite or directly by e-mail to SWISS after the winners’ announcement do not correspond to the actual name and surname on their passport or ID card. Answers posted on any other platform than the microsite or sent as private messages via social media or by e-mail will not be considered part of the Competition and will be treated as an irregular application.

Article 11: Publicity/Announcement of the winner

The participants agree that the content and information submitted on the microsite can be used for any marketing purpose in all territories in perpetuity without any royalty or licensing fees. The participants agree that the name of the competition winners can be published within the microsite.

Article 12: Exclusion of liability/Termination of the completion

SWISS is released from all obligations upon delivery of the prizes and shall not be liable for any deficiencies concerning the prizes.

SWISS can in no way be held responsible for any loss or damage that may result from or occur in connection with the participation in the competition or any transmission error or any other technical difficulty, unless the loss or damage is caused by SWISS intentionally or through gross negligence. Unaffected by this remain damages due to loss of life, physical injury and damage to health.

SWISS reserve the right to change these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notification and to terminate or interrupt the Competition at any time in case any difficulties occur that could compromise the integrity of the Competition and/or its proper execution.

Article 13: Underage participants in a competition

Juvenile users are allowed to participate in the Competition but have no right to win the prize (written in Article 4).

Article 14: Trademark rights/Copyright/Right of use

All trademarks, copyrights, database rights and other rights to the protection of intellectual property regarding the content of SWISS, together with the underlying software code, belong to either SWISS or its licensors. Without the prior written consent of SWISS, participants may not copy, modify, or distribute, use or reproduce the SWISS content or the underlying software code in any form either in whole or in part.

Participants may use the SWISS microsite only in accordance with their applicable Terms of Use. In particular, each participant agrees to the following:

  • You must not use the SWISS microsite in a way that is likely to infringe proprietary rights of others.
  • You must not use any device, mechanism, software or other scripts that may interfere with the functionality of the SWISS microsite. This includes the uploading of files infected with viruses.
  • You shall not take any action that could result in an unreasonable or excessive load on the SWISS infrastructure.
  • You may not block, overwrite or modify any contents generated by SWISS, or in any way interfere with the SWISS microsite.
  • You may not reproduce data from the microsite, for commercial purposes. In particular, you may not copy, distribute, use or reproduce content found on the microsite in any way using “robots,” other search technologies or other automatic mechanisms.
  • You may not obtain or attempt to obtain unauthorised access to any of our networks by any means.

Article 15: Data Protection

You may use the dedicated website of the “Competition” only upon acceptance of these privacy clauses as well as the SWISS Privacy Policy.

All required data for participation is supplied voluntarily by the participant. SWISS complies with all applicable legal data protection law. The data received by SWISS in connection with the Campaign will be processed and stored for the purpose of the execution of this Campaign only. By accepting these privacy clauses, you give your consent for your data to be collected, processed and stored by SWISS for marketing purposes. You are always free to withdraw your consent towards SWISS.

Your personal information will only be used in a manner consistent with the Privacy Policy of SWISS.
